What can I expect?

What is a service at Gloria Dei like?

In total, a Gloria Dei service is about 60 minutes in length. Prior to the service, members and guests typically meet and visit in the narthex. Once the organist begins to play, you can find a seat in one of our pews in the sanctuary.

Pastor starts off with announcements and the order of worship, which you can find in our hymnals provided in each pew. The service at Gloria Dei includes confession and absolution, hymn singing, special music (most Sundays), readings from Scripture, a sermon from our pastor, offerings, and prayers. Holy Communion is also celebrated the first and third Sundays of every month. (If you are not a member at Gloria Dei and wish to receive communion, please speak with our pastor before the service.)

Following the service, we have our weekly Bible Study and Children's Sunday School in the fellowship hall next to the sanctuary. All are invited!

What's the culture like at Gloria Dei?

Sundays at Gloria Dei are casual, family-focused, and friendly, while our services follow historic worship. Come as you are and expect to feel welcomed as our guest.

What about my kids?

We love to have families worship together. Because our services follow a pattern each Sunday, it is very easy for children to catch on after only a few Sundays.

Should your child need a break, we also have a Family Viewing Room from which the service can be seen and heard.

We look forward to meeting you!

Drop-ins are always welcome. However, if you would like to, please fill out the form below so we are more prepared to greet you personally when you arrive.
